Buy Our Swag

Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008

I mentioned we’d have one or two other surprises coming up soon…

Introducing: The Leet World Store, where you can get your first ever TLW shirts!

Right now the selection is pretty limited, but this is just a trial run. Currently, the only colors we can offer are red, white, military green, brown and charcoal for the guys, blue, pink and yellow for the ladies. I’m partial to the green and brown, myself.

It should be noted that since we’re going through Cafepress (for now), any issues you have with ordering, delivery, etc, should be taken up with them.

A quick note about the price/selection of the shirts… Our available merch is going to be limited at first until we get an idea of the demand. If it turns out that there is a big enough demand for these shirts, we should be able to offer a wider selection of shirts (catch phrases, etc) and have more flexibility on pricing. At the moment, we are limited as to what kinds of products we can offer and the pricing points we can set. This is step one in a several step process. Happy browsing!

In other news, Jace is hard at work on the Season One soundtrack, and what I’ve heard is exceptional. In addition, the first episode commentary should be up within a couple of days.

Thanks for your patience as we’ve been dealing with server issues after the episode release.

Announcing: New Things

Monday, July 7th, 2008

I’ve been promising some announcements for several weeks now, so I figured it was time to stand and deliver. I’m no Lou Diamond Phillips, but I think I’ll be ok. Also, you may want to read on to see an interesting tidbit about part 3 of the Season Finale.

Here’s the stuff in the works…

The Leet World Idol

Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008

We’ve got a winner to the Themetacular Contest, and his name is DJ Shox. Wow. I didn’t expect such a turn-around, but apparently, Shox has been hitting the campaign trail. Like. A. Madman. His rendition of the theme song will now land a coveted spot in the Season Finale intro sequence.

Congrats, dude, you earned it. To hear more of DJ Shox’s compositions, feel free to listen at your heart’s content.

To everyone else who entered, much thanks for participating, we really loved hearing all that you guys put out there for us to enjoy. It was such a great thing to see this community jumping into something like this. Not everyone’s favorite won, but hey, that’s why we vote.

Me thinks we need more contests in the future. If you somehow missed all of the excitement, you can go listen to the finalists. But for now, here’s your Miss America:

House Cleaning

Sunday, April 27th, 2008

So today we knocked a big chunk of filming for Episode Thirteen out of the park, claiming it as our property in celebration not unlike a young boy named Stephen once did. Yes, there was some collective Smooth Few Films squatting. Maybe one of the least problems-free days in our short history of production.

Nick upgraded the “camera” computer that we use to film the show, complete with an 8800 GT. Needless to say, our characters are colorful and smooth and it definitely enhances the look of everything. I even brought some screenshots to prove it.

The Interrogation. T3h RIVAR Delegation

Pretty nice, eh? In case you guys haven’t been around, a lot went down the last two weeks. I’ve put together a list of some important posts to make it easier to navigate.

Shutting Down the WOPR

Sunday, January 20th, 2008

How about a nice game of chess?

Wow. What a crazy weekend.

As you are no doubt keenly aware, our server got- well- served. Thoroughly. “A Day in the Life of a Turret” has been a huge success, to say the least.  I guess people like them some Portal videos.

Much thanks to Digg, Kotaku, Joystiq, Destructoid, 1Up, Next-Gen, XBox 360 Fanboy, and all the others that pushed massive traffic (read: tens of thousands) to our humble abode, whose walls could not withstand the battering ram of the insatiable, tentacle-ey interweb.

Now that things have slowed down, we are re-hosting what will be forever known around Smooth Few Films as the video. There are a few places to find it.

Click here to see the download links. An Ipod version will appear soon.

GamingTV has kindly hosted some mirrors for us. GamingTV Mirrors!

Expect the Damn Dangerous song to appear on our site tomorrow!

As promised, here are the first screenshots from Episode Nine of The Leet World. Obviously, we’re not going to give much away, though there is a small revelation about the setting. Enjoy!

Nice hat. Phone-ing. Strategery.

Scheduled Downtime Tonight

Friday, November 30th, 2007

Hi folks, just a quick note… We’ve been informed by our webhost that they will be moving server clusters tonight, November 30th, starting at 10:00PM PST (GMT - 8). They estimate this process will take about 8 hours, so for those of us living on Central time, it should be fairly painless. For folks in other countries… not so much.

Thanks, and, as always, please donate. Your dollars buy Leeroy more computer peripherals.
